Day 1 – Wochenbrunn – Gruttenhutte, along steep mountain paths, scree and rocky areas, no climbing is involved. This is a fairly wild and rugged trip to the Gruttenhutte which is a mountaineers overnight stop. Timing: 5 – 6 hours 600m ascent / descent

Day 2 – Scheffau – Hintersteinersee – Steineresteige
Marked paths through woodland and pastures alongside a stunning natural alpine lake descending towards the Eiberg pass where we descend sharply down 250 steps in the ravine then along the valley floor to Scheffau.

Timing: 5 – 6 hours
300m ascent / descent

Day 3 – Hintersteinersee – Walleralm (1171m) – Jägersteig to Seestuberl Through the wooded area to the Walleralm offering views both to the north and west of the Wilder Kaiser. Great day to view local wildlife as well as the local flora and fauna. Timing: 5 - 5.5 hours 270m ascent / descent

Day 4 – Griesneralm (988m) – Stripsenjochhaus (1611m)
Views to the Ellmauer Halt (2344m) highest point on the Wilder Kaiser Steinerne Rinne (the stone gully), all makes for a very impressive and stunning day.

Timing: 4.5 – 5 hours
650m ascent / descent
