The Autumn is a beautiful time of year and no more so than in the heart of the Tirolean Alps, with lashings of colour and dramatic scenery makes this a truly memorable time of year for a visit to this beautiful country.

Intro Day
A walk through the valley bottom from the traditional village of Scheffau through to it’s larger neighbour Söll. The walk takes us along the river towards the picturesque “Moorsee” a small lake used for fishing and swimming in good weather.

The best way to get acclimatised and ease your muscles in gently. Once we arrive in Söll a chance to discover the village and it´s church, have some lunch or a snack and relax.

The return walk to Scheffau will take a slightly different route.

walk austria picture Day 2 - Hintersteinersee
You will be transported to the outskirts of Ellmau where we will walk in from of the Wilder Kaiser through wooded and farming land, we will end up by the stunning mountain lake “Hintersteinersee”. A large natural lake and a real beauty spot, this is a well photographed location in Austria using the lake in the foreground and the stunning Wilder Kaiser as the backdrop, a day for the cameras.
Lunch stop will be taken at the lake with a chance to sample the fresh mountain water for a paddle.
The afternoon will take us through woods and tracks as we meander our way to Scheffau.

Timing: 4.5 – 5 hours total

Day 3 - Lower slopes of the Wilder Kaiser
Today takes in the dramatic limestone mountains of the ‘Wild Emperor’ these soar to a height of 2.300m above sea level with their sheer sides and stunning crags they are home to Chamoix, so today is the day for your binoculars.

Our tour takes us along the lower slopes of this range with excellent views over to the winter ski area of the ‘Ski Welt’ (Ski World).

Timing: 4.5 – 5 hours total

walk austria picture Day 4 – Kitzbühel & Schwarzee lake
Gieringer Weiher – Oberndorf – Kitzbühel
It’s the lake area today, wandering through fantastic wooded areas and beside clear, crisp water that can only come from the purest springs on the mountains.

The Schwarzsee (Black Lake) and it’s smaller neighbour Gieringer Weiher are on the outskirts of the town of Kitzbühel, surrounded by the Kitzbühler Alpen this means be ready for a breathtakingly scenic day.

Timing: 4 – 5 hours total
100m ascent and descent

Day 5 – Griesenertal
Very few words can describe the impressive sights you will see today, the mountains are sheer, ragged and ultimately stunning. The Griesental (tal means valley) lies to the north side of the Wilder Kaiser, so it is here you will be transported and then you will take the mountain paths to the Grieseneralm where you will have a vantage point like no other.

Timing: 4-5 hours total
